| DAY 2: TUESDAY | JERUSALEM / MT. OF OLIVES / NEW CITY | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Start the day with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from the top of Mt’ of Olives. On to the Garden of Gethsemane and Church of the Agony. Continue to Israel Museum’s Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea scrolls, then a visit to the beautifully renovated Model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem, dating back to the time of the Second Temple. Continue to Yad Vashem (the memorial to the six million Jews who were killed in the Holocaust. Afternoon visit to the picturesque village of Ein Karem , the birth place of John the Baptist. Return to Hotel. |

Walk through one of the Gates to the walled Old City: the renewed Jewish Quarter; the Western Wall, the Temple area; the colorful bazaars; Via Dolorosa and the Stations of the Cross ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Drive to Mt’ Zion and visit the tomb of King David, the Room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey. Afternoon continue to Bethlehem* to visit the Church of the Nativity and a view of the shepherds fields. Return to Jerusalem for overnight. |

Leave Jerusalem, and drive north via Jericho*, the oldest city in the world. Then via the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean. Visit the excavations of this beautiful Roman City. Proceed to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation & Mary’s Well. On to Safed, city of the Kabala, for a walk through the mystic alleys and the artists’ colony. Drive to Kibbutz Hotel for overnight. |

Drive to the Golan Heights. See the former Syrian fortifications, and the Druze villages. Via Banias, source of the Jordan River, drive to the shores of the Sea of Galilee , to Capernaum. Visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue and Peter's House. Visit Tabgha where the miracle of the Fish & Bread took place and Mt Beatitude. After a short tour of Tiberias the old center of Jewish learning, Return to the Kibbutz hotel for overnight. |

After Breakfast drive west to Acre for a visit of the old, famous Crusader stronghold and medieval fortifications. Continue to Haifa, sightseeing tour of Haifa, including the Bahai Shrine, Persian Garden and Mount Carmel for a panoramic view of the city. Proceed southwards to Caesarea to visit the Roman Theater and the Crusader fortress. Continue to Tel Aviv-Jaffa for a short city tour and to hotel for overnight. |

| DAY 2: MONDAY | CAESERIA / MEGIDDO / HAIFA / ACRE | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, once a proud Roman port city dating back to the time of Pontius Pilate. View the monumental Roman amphitheater built in the days of Christ. Visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. Continue to Megiddo, overlooking the plains of Armageddon and visit the site of the 21 superimposed cities. Visit the archaeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply system. Drive to Haifa to view the beautiful gardens at the Bahai Shrine on the slopes of Mount Carmel. Continue to Acre to visit the ancient city and harbor. Many Crusaders buildings and fortifications remain intact to this day. The Acre Mosque was built by the notorious 18th century Moslem ruler; Jasser Pasha is among the most important mosques in Israel. Continue to your hotel. |

| DAY 3: TUESDAY | TIBERIAS / CAPERNAUM / TABGHA / MT BEATITUDES / BANIAS / GOLAN HIGHTS | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
After a short tour of Tiberias by the Sea of Galilee, we take a boat ride to Capernaum to visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, where Jesus performed the miracle of the multiplication of the fish and loaves and fed 5000. Near by is the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to Mount of beatitudes, here Jesus gave the Beatitudes and taught on many occasions. Here he also performed many of the miracles and delivered the sermon on the Mount. Drive to the Caeseria Phillipi (Banias) springs and waterfalls and ascend the Golan Heights. |

Travel via Cana to Nazareth where Jesus spent the silent years of his life. Visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s Well. Afterwards, visit Cana, site of the first miracle where Jesus turned water to wine. Next vist to Yardenit Baptismal Site by the Jordan River. Continue to Beit Shean to view the well-preserved mosaic floor and ancient ruins. Many Crusaders buildings and fortifications remain intact to this day. Drive along the Jordan River and ascend Jerusalem the “eternal city of God”. |

| DAY 5: THURSDAY | JERUSALEM / OLD CITY | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Drive up Mount of Olives. Here over looking the Temple, Jesus taught his disciples, prophesized the destruction of Jerusalem. From here the entire city of Jerusalem unfolds before us. On its slope is Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was taken captive. We visit the near by Church of All Nations. We proceed to Mt. Zion to visit King David’s tomb and the Room of Last Supper. Walk through the Cardo, the main street of Jerusalem 2000 years ago. View the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, where Jesus carried His Cross. Continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We then walk along the colourful Oriental Bazaar. Last visit to the Garden Tomb where some believe Jesus was buried. |

Today’s program is dedicated to the new city of Jerusalem. Visit the model of ancient Jerusalem at the Holy land Hotel. Continue to Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. Enter the site by walking along the Street of the Righteous Gentiles, dedicated to the non-Jews that risked their lives in order to save their Jewish neighbors. Continue to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptists. This Spanish style church and Mary’s well is where Mother Mary met her cousin Elizabeth. Proceed to Bethlehem * (subject to security situation today) to visit the Church of the Nativity |

| DAY 7: SATURDAY | DEAD SEA / MASSADA | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Drive to Qumeran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found. There we visit the ruins where the Essenes sought the seclusion of the Judean Desert, where they could follow the Law more closely and wait for the coming Messiah. We drive along the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth and ascend Massada by cable car, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. Your guide will take us on a fascinating tour of this mountain where 960 Jewish defenders organized the last resistance to the Roman Conquerors. Return to Jerusalem. |

Full day tour to Petra. Transfer from your hotel to the Arava border crossing with and drive to Petra . Visit to the wonders of the ancient city of Petra the Rose Red City carved by the Nabataeans out of solid rock. A visit to Petra is one of the true highlights of any tour to the Middle East. For hundreds of years, Petra was forgotten until it was rediscovered in 1812. The entire city is carved into the sides of a deep gorge, entered on foot or by horse-drawn carriages. In the late afternoon return to your hotel in Eilat. |
