Tuesday: ARRIVAL CAPE TOWN/TRANSFER:

Upon arrival in Cape Town Airport, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Cape Town.

Wednesday: TABLE MOUNTAIN/MUIZENBERG/CAPE NATURE RESERVE

: Depart for a visit up the famous Table Mountain. The view from the top of the mountain is spectacular! Continue through Muizenberg; this famous seaside resort boasts a magnificent stretch of beach and warm surf; Fish Hoek, a popular seaside resort along the peninsula; Simonstown, Headquarters of the South African Navy and into the Cape Point Nature Reserve. We ascend to the highest point on the "Flying Dutchman". Next proceed to Chapman’s Peak; a scenic masterpiece and continue to Hout Bay; a picturesque village with a large fishing harbor. If weather permits, enjoy a boat ride to Seal Island. Return to Cape Town. In the evening, visit the Waterfront, a new tourist attraction by the harbor and enjoy an optional dinner in one of the many fine restaurants. Overnight in Cape Town. (B)

Thursday: PAARL/STELLENBOSCH/BOSCHENDAL/KIRSTENBOSCH GARDENS:

Travel to the wine-making areas of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. View the university town that has retained its 18th century scale and charm. The stunning backdrop of the Hottentots Holland Mountains and white gabled Cape Dutch homesteads, all blend to give the visitor a tour to be remembered. Visit Boschendal Wine Estates cellars, and have the opportunity for wine tasting. After lunch, travel to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Return to Cape Town for overnight. (B,L)

Friday: BEGIN GARDEN ROUTE TOUR:

The Garden Route features lakes, mountains, golden beaches, cliffs and dense indigenous forests. Depart from Cape Town and travel via Sir Lowry’s Pass and Grabouw to the historic town of Swellendam - capital of the 18th century rebel republic, Barrydale. Continue to Mossel Bay. We visit the Post Office Tree. Travel via Robinson pass to Oudtshoorn, known as the Feather Capital and have lunch. Overnight in Oudtshoorn. (B,L,D)

Saturday: GARDEN ROUTE/CANGO CAVES/OSTRICH FARM:

An early start this morning takes us over the Outeniqua Mountain. Visit the prehistoric Cango Caves. Travel to an Ostrich Farm. Take a guided tour and learn about the breeding program. Enjoy lunch on the farm. The adventurous will have a chance to ride on the back of one of the giant birds. Travel over the Outenique Pass through the town of George to our hotel in the Wilderness. Overnight in the Wilderness. (B,L,D)

Sunday: GARDEN ROUTE/KNYSNA/HEADS/BEACON ISLAND/PORT ELIZABETH/JOHANNESBURG:

Drive to Knysna which has fabulous sea and mountain views. Travel to the primeval forest of the Tsitsikamma. From here, the road takes us through the Eastern Cape to Port Elizabeth. Transfer to airport for flight to Johannesburg. Transfer to our hotel. Overnight in Johannesburg. (B)

Monday: JOHANNESBURG/PRIVATE GAME RESERVE/NIGHT SAFARI:

Leave Johannesburg via Witbank to Middleburg and short tea stop. Continue along to private game reserve. After settling in, experienced rangers will take you on a game drive safari in open land rovers. Spot some of Africa’s magnificent wildlife! Africa is home to more species of wildlife than any other continent. Return to lodge for a special dinner around the campfire. Overnight in Game Reserve. (B,D)

Tuesday: SAFARI/KRUGER NATIONAL PARK/FREE TIME:

Early this morning, game rangers take you for another exciting safari game drive. Return midmorning for a sumptuous breakfast. Afterwards, leave the lodge and enter the world famous Kruger National Park. Enjoy lunch and free time. Overnight in Rest Camp. (B,D)

Wednesday: KRUGER/JOHANNESBURG:

Drive via Sabie to the MacMac Falls. Continue to Pilgrim's Rest, a perfect replica of a 19th century gold rush town. Continue via the Robber’s Pass, Lydenburg, Middleburg and end the day in Johannesburg. Overnight in Johannesburg. (B)

Thursday: CITY TOUR/GOLD REEF/SOWETO/FAREWELL DINNER:

Tour the modern metropolis of Johannesburg and continue to Gold Reef City. Next, have the opportunity to gain a new perspective and personal insight in the largest black township in Africa, Soweto. Shrouded in myth and controversy, vibrant Soweto is a city of surprise and contrast of startling enterprise and vigorous cultural interaction. Have a chance to glance past Winnie Mandela’s House. In the evening, have a Farewell Dinner. Overnight in Johannesburg. (B,D)

Friday: TRANSFER TO AIRPORT/FLIGHT:

Today you depart Johannesburg. (B)
